Company Finance Restructure Case Study

Client Industry: Construction

Amount Financed: 1,200,000

Client Request

A fire at the main premises forced our client to shut down the business for three months. Creditors could no longer be paid due to depleted cash reserves.

The business entered into informal arrangements with the major creditors. The main industrial facility came back online and required a capital injection.

Meanwhile, the client’s bank ran out of patience. Another bank was needed to finance the industrial property.

Our Solution

Firstly we sourced a financier who provided a facility comprising a loan of $600,000 secured by the premises and plant and equipment. Secondly, we arranged a debtor finance facility for $600,000 to provide ongoing working capital.

As a result, the client was able to exit the relationship with the bank. Further, it now had access to funds to recommence business and fund ongoing growth.

The business restored its revenues to pre-fire levels. The client wanted to acquire a new cost-saving plant to improve their business. We assisted the business with funding for the plant. As a result, the business became more profitable than it had been in the past.
